(5) or (6) (a), (b) or (d), if the value of the money, goods, services or property illegally obtained does not exceed $1,000 $2,000 is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor; if the value of the money, goods, services or property exceeds $1,000 $2,000 but does not exceed $2,500 $5,000, in a single transaction or in separate transactions within a period not exceeding 6 months, the person is guilty of a Class E I felony; if the value of the money, goods, services or property exceeds $5,000 but does not exceed $10,000, in a single transaction or in separate transactions within a period not exceeding 6 months, the person is guilty of a Class H felony; or if the value of the money, goods, services or property exceeds $2,500 $10,000, in a single transaction or in separate transactions within a period not exceeding 6 months, the person is guilty of a Class C G felony.

AB465,128,18 943.75 (2) Whoever intentionally releases an animal that is lawfully confined for scientific, farming, companionship or protection of persons or property, recreation, restocking, research, exhibition, commercial or educational purposes, acting without the consent of the owner or custodian of the animal, is guilty of a Class C misdemeanor. A 2nd violation of this section by a person is a Class A misdemeanor. A 3rd or subsequent violation of this section by a person is a Class E I felony.

AB465,129,17 944.21 (5) (e) Regardless of the number of prior convictions, if the violation under sub. (3) or (4) is for a wholesale transfer or distribution of obscene material, the person is guilty of a Class D H felony.

AB465, s. 487 Section 487. 944.32 of the statutes is amended to read:

AB465,129,21 944.32 Soliciting prostitutes. Except as provided under s. 948.08, whoever intentionally solicits or causes any person to practice prostitution or establishes any person in a place of prostitution is guilty of a Class D H felony.

AB465, s. 488 Section 488. 944.33 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB465,129,24 944.33 (2) If the person received compensation from the earnings of the prostitute, such person is guilty of a Class C F felony.
